Root Girl – The Disowned Self
The card depicts a girl, naked, dirty and shunned because of her deformities. She sits on the ground at the base of a powerful tree, the Tree of Self. She is comfortable at the tree and burrows underground and rests at the root of the tree. Is she perhaps a part of yourself you have shunned and avoided?
She is part of you because she is you. We all have failures in life, but it is how we perceive and change them that makes them stand out like mountains or as flat as the steppes. Lashing out at our failures, especially if they are repeated failures, is this child calling to be recognised, and loved, not shunned?
Being able to grasp this is a turning point in your ability to deal with your failures and how you feel about them. Perhaps you cannot change the failure, but dwelling on it brings emotions to the surface that are not worthy of you.
This card is asking you to accept your failures, learn from them and grow from them, dwell on the acceptance and allow unworthy emotions to drain away. Once you embrace the Root Girl, show love and understanding. You can move forward and receive the blessings the world is ready to give you. You are ready to enjoy your life.
Will-of-the-Wisp – Treasures Hidden in the Shadows
An opportunity to move on, change and discover the treasures hidden in the mists of life. To move into the mists of your life requires you to give up the old, tried-and-true approach to living that has served you well up to now.
This is about what is more in your life than you have experienced so far. The tried and true is only a part of what is holding you back. Also, holding you back are the golden handcuffs of your current work, way of living, and familiar walls of your prison of life. What is comfortable and familiar is not what you need right now, and the Will-of-the-Wisp encourages you to try the new and the unknown.
Take a moment to pause and consider the pursuit of adventure as compared to the certainty of what you meet every morning when you wake up. Compare your comfort zone with adventure and discovery. Look at the well-worn path you are on compared to the detour that may lead to new horizons.
This is the time to trust in yourself and your guiding angels and what the Will-of-the-Wisp is offering you. And there is so much to gain my making the changes required, bounty, goodness, and love are all available to you now. You just need to accept and make the move the Will-of-the-Wisp requires of you.
