Staff – Foundations
The Shaman’s staff has many meanings and usefulness to a shaman. Once matched, a Staff and the Shaman will be together for the entirety of a shaman’s life. The Shaman’s staff contains a spirit that helps the Shaman during ritual and their shamanic journeying.
A staff is something in the material world that you can rest on to gather your strength after an arduous journey, period, or illness.
Staff also urges you to lean on it and rest. Do not sit down! No, stay standing but use Staff to help take you back a few steps, or a lot of steps to the beginning of the journey you started.
You need to gather strength now and also perspective. It is time to consider where you have been and the physical and spiritual energy you have spent to get to where you are now.
Where you have been helps tell you how much energy you have to gather to complete your goal and achieve your desire.
Journey – Imagination
Life is full of wonderful things. When you venture to see and experience the new, you can play it safe or take a risk. Journey speaks to experiencing the new, not being cautious or playing it safe.
Let’s be clear, this does not mean be reckless or uncaring of the safety of yourself or other spirits and guides who are with you. Your guides and spirits are with you always, and yet they are respectful of your soul’s free will.
In the Journey you may meet people and go places you have always dreamt of in your imagination. This is the time to explore your dreams and wonderment around you and no longer pay attention to those who warn or coerce you in not explore.
Exploring new things, having new experiences, are all beneficial for your soul and your spiritual growth. Remember to explore is just that you can do something new once and gain the knowledge and experience you are here to gather. You do not have to repeat it repeatedly.
