An Apple a Day… so the saying goes if good for you. It keeps the doctor away. Reiki is a loving and gentle energy, but like all such things, it has an immutable strength and power to it. We learn that through progressive Reiki Attunements which bring us closer and closer to being totally open and engaged with it. While we learn and appreciate it, we also need to understand that Reiki, for all the strength and value it provides us and the people we provide session to, is not something that should be hidden away and only brought out when healing is needed.
That would be hiding Reiki’s spiritually guided energy, it’s wisdom and intelligence. Reiki is not to be hidden. Like an Apple a Day, Reiki should be part of our daily lives. For all it gives us, it does not impinge on our human Free Will. For this reason, as we reach out for an apple, we must invite Reiki into our lives, only then will we see the part it plays in our existence.
Inviting Reiki energy into our daily lives makes it easier for users being attuned to become used to it and how to bring it to healing sessions. But, perhaps more than that, it brings a practitioner into closer contact with Reiki and helps them develop and understanding and sensitivity to it. With sensitivity comes confidence and assurance of the connection and how to make use of it.
The one thing I have learned as a practitioner, is that there is no way to misuse Reiki Energy. It is intelligent and knows where and what needs to be done, as my relationship with it has developed, my confidence with it doing the right thing, and my doing the right thing have increased greatly, to the point where I do not think about it.
The start of the day is a good time to wrap yourself and your intentions with Reiki. I sit quietly and invite my Reiki guides to join me and infuse me with Reiki. They are part of my day, I ask that they monitor my thoughts deeds, words, and writing and edit as appropriate without me asking. It is important to allow my guides and Reiki energy to work for my best interest without always having to be invited to do so.
It is at this time that if I have any aches and pains, concerns or worries that I ask them to relieve me of them. Let them be removed and my heart and mind filled with Reiki energy, peace, quiet and love.
Commuting is always a tension filled part of the day, especially if I have to drive. Being kept safe from all accidents is something I ask for. And when I arrive at my destination, I am grateful for the safe journey. When I leave at the end of the day, I ask for a safe journey, free form all accidents. When I arrive home, again, I express gratitude for being safe on my journey.
I am a bit clumsy when it comes to ladders and stocking higher shelves or cleaning. Reiki helps me stand and work safely when I am working on these chores.
After all is said and done, a relaxing 20 or 30 minutes is good if I can fit it in. When I have the time, I enjoy letting myself relax into Reiki and feel its benefits in my physical body. A moment to relax is always good for allowing Reiki to sort through and heal my soul and bring it rest as well as my physical body.
My cat loves Reiki. I respect their right to refuse by giving my Reiki guides the ability to decide on what it is she needs. She is always more energized after a Reiki session.
The last thing I do before I go to sleep is to invite my Reiki guides into my dreams and to leave any messages, they have for me when I wake up. This not only ensures Reiki is in my sleep, and, it is enhancing my rest but it is in my dreams and can leave messages for me when I wake up.
When I wake up and there are messages from my guides, they are always the first and brightest thoughts in my mind. What better way to start the day than with messages form my Reiki Guides!
