Medicine Bag
This is a time to look into the treasured past. Mementoes you have collected, from a holiday, a happy weekend, or a joyful event? Maybe a wedding of a sibling, or an achievement of a sort. Perhaps coming first in a sporting event or being part of a winning team.
These tangible things are a connection to a memory you can hold in your hand. Choose one or two of them to place in a bag, a small bag you could carry in your purse or something that will be with you throughout the day. Remember, the intention is to have something with you on which you call and receive energy. It may be a wedding ring from a past parent or a past love who is no longer with you, but the memories give you strength and energy.
The energy you receive will help you find a fresh path, or proceed along a path with more vigour, determination, and strength.
Remember, we learn from past to create the future. We do NOT live in the past.
Medicine Wheel
Each situation in life provides you with a learning experience. We learn equally from the good and happy experiences as we do from the bad and upsetting. We experience these events in order to gain understanding.
When you look at the Medicine Wheel card, consider yourself stepping inside the wheel and seeing the continuity of existence in the circle. Look to the North and the over your shoulder to the East. Turn around and look to the south, then over your shoulder to the West.
Then turn around and you are facing North. It is a continuity of life. We speak about “moving on” from a situation, but in reality, we are turning inside the wheel to another experience and using what we have learned to succeed at the next challenge a different direction sends us.
If there is a place you always go to relax and detach from a stressful life, imagine that place as also being your special place where you have your own Medicine Wheel. The medicine wheel you build is a map, a Shamanic map if you and your life. When you step into your own personal Medicine Wheel you gain the benefit of the power the ring gives you to move forward with more assurance and learning from last evens.
