Death – Transmigration
The Death card is not the end, it is the beginning. The butterfly changes from the caterpillar, a crawling slow-moving animal into a beautiful flying creature inside a pupa. Inside the pupa, it lets go of the caterpillar and all that it was. The Death card comes now to tell you to let go of what is old and not required anymore.
Like the Butterfly going through a great change, you are being asked to let go of your old caterpillar self and be reborn as a butterfly. Remember, the caterpillar cannot fly if it is always a caterpillar.
In the card, the figure is seen looking into a portal, a doorway to the next stage in their life. Now is the time, at the end of the year when you have learned and experienced from the year when you are asked to look into the New Year and all the potential it can bring.
The first steps of the New Year and the new potential may seem strange and your steps filled with uncertainty and unease, but you will grow strong and move with purpose and enjoyment as you experience the New Year. Have confidence in yourself and the ability to achieve. Do not fear what is new.
Remember, you have what you need from the old year to make a great success of the new year. What you need may be material, a new car, a home, a new relationship. It maybe knowledge and understanding within you. A different way to look at life and people, to understand rather than criticize. But all of this cannot happen if you do not give up and let the old in you and around you die.
