Stand Still
When we stand still, we have time to think. Standing still does not mean a lack of progress. It is a time to breathe, to consider where we are and what we have done. This week is a time to take a break and relax. In relaxation we make progress because we give ourselves the gift of time. We pause our ego driven life purposefully and enjoy the benefits of inaction with the world without taking part in it.
Standing still, or inaction is not a sign of being stuck, or stagnating. Being on the go, being a go-go person, striving relentlessly in trying to achieve is tiring and stressful. Our soul and our mind, our being is stressed and need a break from endless achievement and struggle.
Your body, your soul, is not some sort of engine that can run endlessly at full throttle. When you are finally at a standstill, enjoy what you see and hear. There are gifts the universe gives out now have a different tone and a different feel to them. Relax and recharge. Perhaps, to get a different perspective on life and everything.
This is also the time to sit back and, in your standing still, consider whether a project or task is worth the effort. The cycle of always on the go, always striving have stopped you from considering what is not working and take a different direction. Shed the burdens of people and things which you should no longer be carrying.
Holy Mountain
There are many mountains of great presence around the world. They are venerated and loved, worshiped and honoured. These are places where people can encounter the spirit and soul of the mountain, and that which is within themselves.
In Tibet, Mount Kailash is a place of veneration and honour. In Tibetan its name is Gang Rinpoche – Gang meaning snow and Rinpoche meaning precious one. It is considered sacred in Hinduism, Bon, Buddhism, and Jainism.
It is close to the source of the longest Asian rivers. The base of the mountains is 52km long and to circumnavigate the mountain is both physically taxing, partly because of altitude sickness, and the terrain that must be covered. But the achievement brings blessings of achievement, peace and overcoming adversity.
This card brings many messages. It tells you to gain perspective on your life, your achievements and changes within yourself. Look on your present situation not as an achievement in itself, not an end, but a start from which you can move forward. It is here to help you gain a vision of your future. Move onward from where you are as the pilgrim circumnavigating Mount Kailash does, step by step. Find a sacred altar where others who came before you have prayed and found wisdom. With commitment, belief and without a desire to “know the future.” Embrace the courage, love, and compassion your journey will require.
The Blade
The Blade is a cutting tool.
It represents your mind, body, and spirit. Pointing upward, it summons the power of heaven to help you manifest. What is that you wish for? Be clear in your thoughts. It will cut cords attached to you that no longer serve you or are toxic in their effect on you. It is a thing of action. Use it now, use it with best intention and not as a weapon. Use it to heal those old relationships or places by letting them go.
The blade is sent to help you with your dreams which have become stagnant. You are looking down at your feet instead of up and forward where the blade is directing you. The blade frees you from things, people, places, and belongings that do not mean anything to you. Do not use it in anger or bad intention. If you do, the karmic outcome will be worse than you had imagined.
Always use the blade positively to help you move forward.
